The location is in a long terraced street, only two blocks from the University and on the way to the city centre. The village feel is enhanced by many small local shops including the picturesque Bouverie Arms which convenes some music evenings.
Down the street is the Shropshire Union Canal marina with the trendy Telford Warehouse bar and live music on the waterfront. Nearby is the Roodee racecourse, and walk areas, which can be accessed along the red stone town walls.
